Did you Intend your Donations to go to Victims’ Families or Nonprofits?
You should be aware of what has occurred since our 10 family members were murdered during the King Soopers mass shooting in Boulder, CO.
The Colorado Healing Fund & Boulder County Community Foundation have collected millions in donations for victims’ families.
Yet, your well-intentioned support for victims in large part is being kept by these Nonprofits. They believe your donations are to be used at their discretion.
Nonprofits such as these have a long and sordid history of re-victimizing families in the aftermath of mass tragedies, even though public intent is clear. This behavior is predatory at a time when families’ lives are in ruin.
